INCREDIBLE year for the industry as well as Blockdaemon. We couldn’t have made it this far without our partners, clients and support from everyone in-between. 2021 was the explosion of DeFi usage; NFT’s became a part of popular culture; there was a rise in institutional investments; and the metaverse is rising. Blockdaemon completed the Series A & B and became a unicorn in September; more than 10x’d our company manpower; acquired multiple companies to drive new strategies; and partnered with some of the most impactful protocols and services in the space. We are departing 2021 with new partnerships, an acquisition, and some final announcements. Read on!

One clear message from the Messari “What’s at Stake in Staking-as-a-Service?” report is that staking is here to stay. Staking is expected to grow into a $40 billion industry by 2025. As proof-of-stake continues its ascent to mass-adoption, Blockdaemon is here to support your staking journey.

Blockdaemon is proud to join as a founding member of the Flashbots ETH2 Working Group. Today we run over 15,000 ETH2 validator nodes. As a leading ETH2 node operator, we want to help ensure that there is a fair and efficient MEV solution on Ethereum post-merge. Blockdaemon’s responsibilities as a founding member will include: 1. Using Flashbots on Ethereum post-merge. 2. Participating in user interviews and product feedback with Flashbots. 3. Testing the Flashbots software on ETH2 testnets.
Last month, we welcomed Anyblock as the newest member of the Blockdaemon family. Anyblock joins the ranks of Blockdaemon’s roster of innovative acquisitions. With this new addition, Anyblock’s talented team and quality products will bring Blockdaemon’s client offerings to the next level. “All of us are thrilled to join forces with Blockdaemon as our services and teams supplement each other nicely. News & Events
We were grateful to get together in Miami with the focus on team building, 2022 planning, and celebration for an unprecedented 2021. There were 120 employees that represented 15 different countries and everyone welcomed the 80-degree, sunny days.
Lastly, we had an amazing time closing out the year with a few more events in Miami and Hamburg.

CNBC: Bill Gates: Metaverse will host most virtual meetings in a few years – Gates notes that the Covid-19 pandemic has already “revolutionized” the workplace, with more companies than ever offering flexibility for employees who want to work remotely. “Those changes will only intensify in the years to come,” Gates writes, and he says remote working will only pull more people into the metaverse.
