A Strong Foundation to Build on the Pocket Network

LOS ANGELES, CA. – October 04, 2022 –

Blockdaemon, the leading institutional-grade blockchain infrastructure company for node management and staking, and Pocket Network, an inclusive relay network for blockchain API requests, today announced a strategic partnership to provide Blockdaemon customers with institutional access to Pocket Network infrastructure and staking.

This collaboration will enable institutions to connect to Pocket Network with one single integration, giving them easy access to Pocket Network staking and the opportunity to receive Pocket rewards.

By utilizing Blockdaemon, the Pocket Network will become more decentralized,  additionally this will also enable access for institutions to receive staking rewards on Pocket Network. Blockdaemon’s world class node infrastructure powers the blockchain economy with an easy-to-use, secure and scalable node management platform that now supports over 60+ cutting edge Proof-of-Stake (PoS) protocols, including Pocket.

“We are thrilled to have partnered with the Pocket team. As a validator and infrastructure provider, Blockdaemon looks forward to creating a reliable foundation on which the Pocket Network can grow and scale.” says Gaetan Thabot, Blockdaemon Sales Executive - Blockchain Protocol & Foundation Partnerships.

Founded in 2017, Pocket is a decentralized blockchain data platform for coordinating and distributing data to Web3 developers and their end users at scale.

Reading and writing data from/to blockchains can pose challenges for developers of applications. Pocket Network solves data relay issues by incentivizing a network of tens of thousands of globally distributed RPC nodes to relay data to and from any blockchain, and provide blockchain data to the end users of applications, while ensuring maximum uptime and optimized speed through the unique decentralization of its network of nodes. This is all backed by a Proof-of-Stake consensus mechanism.

“Partnering with Blockdaemon is an exciting move for Pocket Network and our entire ecosystem,” said Michael O’Rourke, Pocket Network CEO and co-founder.

“Blockdaemon unlocks a whole new level of institutional access into our protocol, and does so with an unmatched level of industry expertise and focus on security. We are thrilled to evolve the way that institutions can participate in Pocket Network with Blockdaemon’s support.”

Blockdaemon will play an active role in the Pocket Network community as a validator. As a Pocket Network validator, Blockdaemon will actively verify blockchain data from Pocket’s supported blockchains back to dApps and end users.

Additionally, Blockdaemon will participate in both the servicing of data relays as well as consensus and block proposing. At launch, Blockdaemon will be supporting Ethereum, NEAR, and Solana, with plans to support additional protocols in the future.
