We are looking for a People Operations Manager to scale our people functions as we continue to grow quickly. This critical role will oversee numerous important projects – HRIS implementation, dashboard creation, efficiency improvements, and ensure the continued management and development of our people support and growth capabilities.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for making systems and processes at Blockdaemon as efficient and user-friendly as possible
  • Own and manage the HRIS process, employee survey partners, and our employee data related matters, among other items
  • Assist in resolution of escalated issues related to people and team, data integrity, and system performance
  • Lead our people-related technology projects including some basic support for the team 
  • Have day-to-day engagement with Chief of Staff and other leads across the company
  • Facilitate use of data and analysis in People decisions
  • Lead the development and training of HR systems policies and procedures
  • Develop and deliver effective communications and training for our team, as needed
  • Develop on-going partnerships with teams across our company (finance, legal, accounting, operations, etc.) to ensure our overall organization meets the highest standards
  • Communicate feedback to leadership as appropriate
  • Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Skills and Required Qualifications:

  • Legally authorized to work in the job posting country
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
  • 5-7 years of experience in a People or HR team with at least one venture-backed start-up
  • Experience and established comfort level with various HR/administrative and HRIS tools (such as BambooHR, Trinet, Pilot, and others)
  • Exceptional problem-solving and time management skills plus a keen attention to detail
  • Experience with process improvement and project management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Exceptional regard for confidentiality and organizational skills
  • Ability to cultivate innovation and motivate change
  • Able to prioritize work, pivot as necessary and meet deadlines
