How to Stake ROSE (Oasis)

The Oasis Network is a layer one, Proof of Stake platform that enables the tokenization of data, which will give ownership of data back to individuals. ROSE is the native token on the Oasis and it’s easy to stake.

The Oasis Network is built with three key principles in mind:

  • Privacy-First Design – End-to-end confidentiality and true data ownership
  • Resilient, Flexible Architecture – The Oasis Network is designed to support a broad range of use cases without having to go through hard-forks or large network updates.
  • Real-World Performance – The Oasis Network separates computation from consensus.

Anyone who has ROSE can delegate their tokens

  • You can explore the Oasis network here.
  • You can view Blockdaemon’s validator page here.

Just choose a validator and start earning a portion of that validator’s staking rewards, based on how many ROSE tokens are delegated. You will begin getting rewards after the first epoch (1 epoch = ~ 1 hour). Rewards are accrued every hour.

Bear in mind the following when you’re selecting a validator:

  • Current status of the node
  • Uptime percentage of the node
  • Number of delegators currently delegating to that validator
  • Commission rate (the cut of your rewards that the validator claims in exchange for running the node and providing the staking service to you)

Follow the steps below to stake Oasis ROSE tokens:

  1. Access Your Oasis Wallet
  2. Find the Blockdaemon Validator
  3. Select the Blockdaemon Validator
  4. Set Up Your Delegation
  5. Confirm the Transaction
  6. View Your Active Delegations (Optional)
