What is the Institutional Staking Marketplace?
The institutional staking marketplace simplifies access to top-tier staking providers, with standardized terms and conditions, institutional-grade reporting, and reduced complexity.
By boosting Ethereum’s security and bringing more organizations into Web3, the new marketplace will help Ethereum become the blockchain of choice for institutional investors.
The MetaMask Institutional platform also offers a range of cutting-edge tools, including institutional controls, portfolio management, digital asset monitoring, and transaction reporting, all in one place. It allows for digital asset monitoring, including profit & loss and performance attribution for all ERC-20 tokens and the ten most prominent DeFi protocols.
Additionally, the platform's advanced transaction classification and reporting features provide detailed information on holdings and transactions.
How Has the Merge Affected Staking?
With the Ethereum Merge last year, Ethereum transitioned from Proof-of-Work to Proof-of-Stake, reducing its carbon footprint by 99.95%.
Since the Merge, the total amount of staked ETH has grown by 4 million, reaching a current total of approximately 17.7 million. The upcoming Shanghai/Shapella Upgrade will enable withdrawals of staked ETH, offering greater asset flexibility and control.
With the launch of the institutional staking marketplace, institutional adoption is expected to further surge.
