This year the hackathon’s goal is to unite ingenious minds and technical skills to creatively utilize the sponsors’ technologies to develop innovative Web3 solutions to solve critical real-world problems.
The 2022 Hackathon Themes
This year the Open Web Forum Hackathon revolves around three main themes:
- NFTs
- Decentralized Finance (DeFi)
- Gaming
Each hackathon sponsor gives participants access to their tech to seamlessly design and build on the blockchain.
NFTs: Blockdaemon
Blockdaemon helps developers deploy innovative blockchain NFT apps.
This year, Blockdaemon is enabling participants to create an NFT project using our Ubiquity NFT API. Ubiquity instant access to reliable on-demand NFT data. Developers can use Ubqiuity to quickly deploy and iterate innovative NFT products. During the hackathon, Blockdaemon will provide Ubiquity NFT API access to each participant.
The NFT project with the best Ubiquity usage wins.
DeFi: RSS3
RSS3 is an open information syndication protocol that supports efficient and decentralized information distribution in Web3, and it’s taking over the DeFi space.
With RSS3’s technology, participants can utilize their PreGod APIs to kickstart building their dApps on the network. In addition, developers can effortlessly integrate their Web3 feed from multiple sources into their DApps with just a few LOCs.
Gaming: Tezos
Tezos, known as the energy-efficient Proof-of-Stake (PoS) blockchain network, is taking over the gaming theme at the 2022 Open Web Forum Hackathon.
As well as developers, the Tezos blockchain has welcomed artists, entrepreneurs, brands, and other creatives from around the world to build and interact with dApps on the network. Thus, it only makes sense that Tezos is providing this year’s hackathon participants with the technology to build an out-of-the-box gaming project.
