Blockdaemon is committed to investing in APAC

Our newly hired team in the market is testament to this fact.

Our growing, local team in the market will deliver our expert Blockchain solutions to service local needs. We are excited to build a world-class team in this region.

About Andrew

As VP of Sales and General Manager, APAC, Andrew is leading the development of Blockdaemon’s operations in the region. Andrew has 11 years of experience working in the APAC region. He is developing the company’s APAC base including managing the day-to-day running of the APAC business, accelerating local hiring and instilling Blockdaemon’s culture.

He steps into this exciting new role with previous leadership experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS). As a key leader on the sales and business development leadership team, Andrew delivered growth in AWS’s key cohorts, including startups, digital native firms and crypto native companies. He also built out important partnerships with venture capital and private equity firms. Now, Andrew will channel his abundant experience in the traditional world of web infrastructure towards spearheading Blockdaemon’s business success in APAC.

Andrew’s goal is to champion Blockdaemon’s many innate strategic advantages, and leverage these to add value to customers locally. Blockdaemon has the upper-hand, according to Andrew, across multiple areas. Firstly, Blockdaemon’s engineering-first, product-centric approach and full tech stack. Secondly, the company culture, strength of talent and diversity of experiences across team members. Finally, the market opportunities combined with the unstoppable potential of blockchain technology. All of these will be key drivers of Blockdaemon’s success as it expands in APAC.

With over two decades of industry experience and a decade of experience in APAC, Andrew is deeply familiar with the business needs of local clients.

Andrew’s priority will be how to leverage Blockdaemon’s technology in APAC to drive value for local APAC clients. Blockdaemon’s team of engineers will be on-hand to support Andrew’s client base, with him at the helm.

About ZJ

As a Relationship Manager, ZJ is focused on building and supporting relationships with Blockdaemon’s growing clientele in the market. ZJ was born and raised in Singapore, and is bilingual, fluent in both English and Mandarin. ZJ enters her role with a strong background in both traditional finance and technology.

She has previously worked in both Goldman Sachs and as a client relationship manager in the adtech space. In Goldman Sachs, she supported customers in the local APAC region. Now, ZJ infuses her wealth of experience in both finance and relationship management with a passion for blockchain technology. With this combined skill set, ZJ is perfectly poised to best serve Blockdaemon’s clients. ZJ will be on-the-ground in the local market to assist companies using Blockdaemon’s technology.

ZJ has a deep interest in the power that blockchain communities hold in growing the industry. She believes there is a symbiotic relationship between community members and the projects built using blockchain tech that they attract. Her belief is that the combined power of projects and communities drives the space forward. She applies this same philosophy to her role as a relationship manager, seeing the bond between Blockdaemon and its clients as mutually beneficial.

ZJ’s ambition is to deepen the partnerships between Blockdaemon and its customer base within Singapore and beyond. On a day-to-day basis, this means solving client challenges, collaborating with client teams and finding the best infrastructure solutions for them. At a higher level, ZJ will help support the strategic vision of Blockdaemon’s clients, and how they can leverage Blockdaemon’s total node stack to take their offerings to the next-level.

ZJ holds a degree in Applied Probability & Statistics from the National University of Singapore and has an intimate understanding of the local market. She reports into Harrison Dimon, Blockdaemon’s Global Head of Relationship Management
